Economy Nobelprize Lecture & Wii

VISITED THE LECTURE ON ECONOMICS held at Aula Magna at Stockholm University yesterday. Edmund S. Phelps from Columbia University in New York City, USA, held a speach on macroeconomics and his research on rational expectations model, rational choice, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The models and theories Phelps presented emphazised the overall goal of good life, vitalism, self realization and good economy as a result of interaction of demands and action of consumers, producers, financial instruments like the stock market, innovators, inventors, entrepreneurs. He talked over creative inventors meeting investors/finance, employee behaviour, price rasings in competition, consumer evaluation and adaption in a linked chain or networked world.

Conclussion Everybody has the right to participate and be included in the economy to serv as good members of the society. Capitalism can serve justice, inclussion and the good life.

Afterwards the students in the auditorium jumped up on the stage, took photographs, asked questions and mingled with Phelps.

VISITED MY LOCAL GAME STORE in Vallingby (aka Vixton) with an old friend and his young son after the lecture in Stockholm city.

8 December is the N-Day, the new generation game console Wii being introduced by Nintendo. Wii is innovative with it's new motion sensitive controllers and clean white design and will compete with Microsoft XBox 360 and Sony Playstation 3.

Would the men behind the Wii be the winners of the Nobelprize in innovation and design in 2006, if there where any?

BACKFLASH RADIO (BFR) IS A NON-PROFIT STREAMING SERVICE operating under the motto "Powered by the users of Flashback". The stream was founded in August 2006 by users of the internet news agency, community and forum Flashback. This thread announcing the station.

On the BFR web page you can download a playlist to tune in in your media player like iTunes or Winamp. On the web site you can get fresh information about the current live DJ and topic.

BFR also has an IRC channel #backflashradio on Quakenet where you can chat live with the DJ:s and fellow listeners to make requests or just comment the content. The IRC channel has a bot called "Fulbot" serving the listeners. Typing commandos you could get information about music played, DJ, number of listeners, next DJ etc.

The DJ:s are using Shoutcast application on their PCs to stream out. A maximum of 500 listeners could be connected at one time.

500 At Almi Company Day 2006

THE ALMI DAY 2006 AT THE CHINA TEATERN AND BERNS in Stockholm took place today with 500 attenders and 250 that couldn't come in. This years Almi day theme was sales, export issues and design. Final Fantasy VII

I HAVE WATCHED THE DVD "FINAL FANTASY VII – ADVENT CHILDREN" (2006) a fantastic computer animated movie, based on the Final Fantasy VII role playing game from 1997. The movie is containig magnificient environments, characters and creatures and is completely created on Silicon Graphics Computers. In the credit texts in the end a complete group of artists specialiced in textile simulation is mentioned, and indeed a lot of layers of clothing and cloth is presented in the movie.

World's Biggest Computer Festival

I attended Dreamhack, worlds biggest LAN party/computer festival, held in Jonkoping in Sweden, in June. 5000 gamers with computers, and matches in World Series of Video Games (WSVG) elite gameers and clans competing in Quake 4, Counterstrike and World of Warcraft. Team Sports Network from USA was on location streaming live on the net. Giga Game Net-broadcasters from Germany was also represented. Now I have found the pictures, done some editing, and pasted them in this blocklayout for you.
