World Trade Center Competence Show 2006


THE COMPETENCE SHOW WITH E-LEARNING fair and seminars 2006 is an event I had seen forward to attend. At the modernistic World Trade Center Stockholm, this year focus was on put on the rebirth of eLearning. Btw, I was intited by and my attendance was supported by Grade, the computer book publisher and eLearning company. Thx dudes! :D

Highlighted Seminars by Johan Stäel von Holstein , Rickard Gatarski and Fredrik Jeppson. Mr. Stäel von Holstein is undoubtly Swedens #1 IT serial entrepeneur (counting the media coverage) founder of Icon Medialab, iQube etc., also a vivid writer on regular basis for Metro international. Today's chronical you find here ”The world lay before our feets” He held a seminar on the global consiousness ”We have to be recognised to be counted”. He publishes a blog here on blogger ”The truth according to me”

Rikard Gatarski a ph.d. in ecconomics (I have had him as teacher at the Graphical Institue) who is active in interfaceing school subjects with technology and business is an ”activist” in podcasting and blogging. He gave a seminar at the school leader day where he gave his views on the subject of ”Blogs and podcasts in schools”. Pay a visit to Gatarski's interesting podcast Mors! Fredrik Jeppesen the hip headmaster from Botkyrka who shifted from the role as IT-leader to the school-leader a couple of years ago also was presence. Jeppesen is also a vivid blogger on blogger/blogspot on Jeppesen blog

Backflash Radio | User Powered Streaming


BACKFLASH RADIO (BFR) IS A NON-PROFIT STREAMING SERVICE operating under the motto "Powered by the users of Flashback". The stream was founded in August 2006 by users of the internet news agency, community and forum Flashback. This thread announcing the station.

On the BFR web page you can download a playlist to tune in in your media player like iTunes or Winamp. On the web site you can get fresh information about the current live DJ and topic.

BFR also has an IRC channel #backflashradio on Quakenet where you can chat live with the DJ:s and fellow listeners to make requests or just comment the content. The IRC channel has a bot called "Fulbot" serving the listeners. Typing commandos you could get information about music played, DJ, number of listeners, next DJ etc.

The DJ:s are using Shoutcast application on their PCs to stream out. A maximum of 500 listeners could be connected at one time.

Tune in to BFR, have fun and listen to Codeman, NewPettson, Andreasen (N), Rollins, Uriell or be a DJ yourself and stream to 115.362 potential listeners on Shoutcast or realtime just hangaround and chat with +100.000 people on Quakenet.

500 At Almi Company Day 2006


THE ALMI DAY 2006 AT THE CHINA TEATERN AND BERNS in Stockholm took place today with 500 attenders and 250 that couldn't come in. This years Almi day theme was sales, export issues and design. A board of innovative experts presented their experiences. This years best upstarts was revarded with prizes handed over by former Conservative Party leader Ulf Adelsson.

Marianne Ostlund from Effektiva Media teached us how to deal with journalists and editorial staff from the press, aiming to promote small and mid-sized companies.
She presented news hooks: the unexpected, a special event, figures and statistics, timing, to affect, auctorities, celebrities, identification, conflicts, david vs goliath.

Examples was layed forward on how she had succeeded to affect journalists to take notice and report on corporate news, like this example – a company selling a recently developed plaster rising female appetite for sex remarkable.

The day finished with refreshments and food at Berns Salonger with an excessive mingle.
